Do you have jewelry from an ex-boyfriend/girlfriend and you……..?
…….lied to your current boyfriend/girlfriend about how you got it because they’d be upset if they knew you were wearing something that came from a previous relationship?
I have this gorgeous necklace that my last boyfriend brought me from Costa Rica, and I can’t part with it. I told my current boyfriend that my kids got it for me for Mother’s Day one year, because he’d be all pissy if he knew the truth.
The past is part of who you are today – no regrets – no reason to cover it up. If he loves you for who you are then that is part of it.
Everything we touch, touches us back, and we, as are they, the compilation of all those experiences, thoughts, and dreams. I wrote this yesterday to someone Else’s question but it bears repeating: What we resist, persists. What we accept and embrace, we gain power over it.
